25 January 2015  |  Admin

It has certainly been another chilly week here in the UK, and although we haven't seen much snow falling, the wind has certainly retained a brisk nip to it. Nevertheless, I do love this type of weather as it means I can get wrapped up nice and warm and take the dog out into the countryside for long winter walks, especially at the weekend. Add to that the gorgeous winter sun hanging low in the sky, elongating all the shadows, it makes for a beautiful time of year where you can really appreciate the British countryside.

At the Stick and Cane Shop, we have many ramblers, countryside walkers who visit our site looking for the ideal stick to carry on long country walks such as these. A good sturdy stick provides a bit of extra stability that a good hiking, while also reducing the strain on the legs and knees.
