This was bought as a retirement gift for a colleague, so i can only give impression of what it was like when checking it after arrival. Put it this way, when I decide to retire, I think I shall get one for myself, very well crafted and seems very sturdy. The finishing on the stave was excellent and belies it's relatively low price, it looks like it worth a lot more.

Staff is very well made and is currently on its way to Ben Nevis in the hands of my wife for the Three Peaks Challenge! It's been used for training hikes and my wife's reported that it's been very good. Sturdy product, this!
