Our Guide to Applying for VAT Relief
What is VAT Exemption/Relief?
VAT exemption allows Charities and chronically sick or disabled people to buy eligible items at 0% VAT to save them money.
Which walking sticks are eligible for VAT relief?
The walking sticks which are eligible for VAT relief are those items which are manufactured specifically to suit a disabled person. ie country sticks, trekking poles, hiking staves, shepherds crooks, thumb sticks, collectors and speciality canes are NOT eligible for VAT relief.
We shall be working through our products to start indicating if a product is eligible for VAT relief. The items which are eligible tend to be more practical and strudy with a large ferrule base. You will see this information at the bottom of the dimensions tab in the product details page. If you are unsure if the walking stick you are interested in is eligible, please give our customer service team a call or drop us an email for assistance.
