This is my 3rd purchase of a walking stick and I'm very pleased. When each of our children reached the age of 18 we bought them a walking stick but not as a walking aid however. On long country walks a stick is essential for pointing at beautiful views, checking the depth of muddy puddles, beating back thorny gorse bushes, shooing away inquisitive cows, poking in rock pools and climbing over stiles..Invaluable for making happy memories. !

Nothing, I suspect, will ever match my trusted old favourite stick. Maybe, in time, this will earn its extra star after I've got used to its extra weight (it isn't lightweight). Certainly robust and flexible enough to cope with enthusiastic dogs crashing into it (unlike some 'posher' sticks I've had).
