Which Coppice Knob Stick should I buy?

Maybe it's because I am planning a couple of weekends away in the gorgeous Scottish countryside over the next few weeks, but I have been looking through our ranges of rustic sticks that would provide a trusty companion when I'm walking along the coast and into the hills. To be honest, it can be really hard to choose as at the Stick and Cane Shop we have such a wide range of fabulous country canes that would do the job admirably! However, I have been really drawn to the range of coppice knob sticks that we have available for a variety of reasons.

First of all I love the range of different wood types available, and the spectacular character that each type of wood has in its bark and its grain. We have Coppice Knob Sticks available in Ash, Chestnut, Hazel and Blackthorn, and each has its own character, while retaining the feel of the trees from which they are made. Each stick is entirely unique, so you can be sure that no one out there has the exact same stick as you!

Secondly, the finish on these canes is gorgeous. Some retain the rustic bark along the shaft, while others have been reduced, polished and lacquered. Others have been lathed to give an interesting helical/spiral design along the length of the shaft, providing extra visual appeal to an already beautiful walking cane!

Finally, there is the comfort! Sure you need to ensure that each cane is suited to your height and gait to provide optimal comfort and stability (we offer a cane shortening service, so ensure you contact us about that at purchase). However, what is even more delightful is the ergonomic comfort the handles provide when you hold these canes. They fit the palm of your hand perfectly, and have such a polished finish that makes these very tactile items to use!

So for anyone planning a walking holiday in our lovely countryside, I would heartily recommend one of the beautiful Coppice Knob Canes available at the Stick and Cane Shop. I have selected some of my favourites below, but why not check out our full range here.
