    The dimensions of the walking stick are:
    ~ Length is 92cm
    ~ Weight is 448g
    ~ The stick diameter at the top just under the handle is approx 30mm and tapers down to 22mm at the ferrule end.
    ~ It is fitted with an "RFA22" type rubber ferrule size 22mm internal diameter.

The cane is crafted beautifully. but is flimsy with too much flex to be a reliable mobility aid for my mere 83K. I very much regret not returning this item before cutting it to length. The cane is clearly described in the site details as having a diameter of 22mm at the tip and coming with a 22 mm ferrule. The cane sent to me has a tip diameter of between 16 and 18mm and the tip sits in a 22mm ferrule like a teaspoon in a cup. The description of this can was not factual and highly misleading.

As this stick was modified by the customer after receiving it, there was little we could do in terms of exchanging it for another. Had we been contacted before the stick was cut to height by the customer, we would have gladly accepted the return.

We do also state in the Country Sticks category description that these are natural products and that wood thickness inevitably varies between sticks - this is particularly true for knobbly canes. Furthermore, in the description for this product, the measurements given are stated as approximate; there is certainly no intention to mislead. Oak is also a sturdy wood, so this stick functions perfectly well, even at 18mm diameter. We have been selling this stick for years and this is the first time we have received negative feedback for this product.

If a stout stick is required, it is best to mention this in the further comments box during checkout, so that we can find the most appropriate stick for our customers' needs.
