    Handmade Elm Burr Crook with Walnut Decal on a Blackthorn Shaft

    The beautifully handmade crook features a hand carved Elm Burr handle with Walnut Decal mounted on a delightfully finished Blackthorn wood shaft. This is a long stick that comes to around abdomen height. The shaft is made from blackthorn, which is prized for its hard-wearing nature and dark colour. The handle is hand carved from Elm Burr Horn and the blackthorn shaft is lacquered to a beautiful sheen.

    This delightful country walking stick is hand made by a local Scottish craftsman, James Bryce. James, who comes from Stoneyburn, has been making sticks for 17 years and is a 1st place prizewinner at Highland Shows for his extraordinary sticks.

    ~ The stick diameter at the top just under the handle is approx 23mm and tapers down to 19mm at the ferrule end.
